“ This is truly a wonderful little gem of a restaurant. Pulling up to it, you don't think too much of it being in a strip mall. When you walk in, it is a cozy and very nice establishment. The server and staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The drinks were well made and refreshing. We ordered the crab cake appetizer which was rich and brimming with flavor. The BLT Soup was the special and was creamy and hearty. The Pork Tenderloin was way too big for the bun and I believe that is the correct way to serve pork tenderloin sandwiches. It was really moist and the breading was perfect. The steak sandwich was also loaded with mushrooms and it was a healthy serving size. Finally, the Walleye Special melted in my mouth - moist and buttery. I will definitely be visiting here again. ”

“ Although this restaurant is in an unusual location (next to a gas station), you totally forget that little annoyance once you enter. The serving staff are kind, friendly, and efficient. The decor and atmosphere are conducive to good conversation and casual dining. It was our anniversary and we wanted to celebrate at a nice, but not too fancy, place. Finicky Frank's filled the bill exactly. We arrived early to avoid a wait -- good thing, because it soon began to get busy on a Saturday evening. We started off with the crab cakes appetizer -- loved them! Two thick cakes with good crab flavor, nicely crusted, served with salad fixings and aioli sauce on the side. Delicious! Saturday's special is Fried Chicken and my wife selected that. Half a chicken served with mashed potatoes, creamed corn, dinner roll & jam, and even a bowl of vanilla bean ice cream for dessert. She could not eat it all; that meant a take home lunch for tomorrow. I chose the Seafood Enchilada and it was amazing! Large, hot tortilla stuffed with salmon and spinach with shrimp on top covered with garlic Alfredo sauce. Good portion size so that I could take half home for later enjoyment. It was a wonderful spot to celebrate a special day! ”

“ I've wanted to try Finicky Franks for over a year now after seeing them listed on Omaha Food Lovers and following their Facebook page, all I can say is I'm so glad I finally got to come. I had the crab crusted walleye... BRILLIANT, full of flavor, excellent crust and the steamed green beans were prefect. My wife had the prime rib and she loved it, very tender, great flavor with excellent au jus. Win win! And I won't forget the salted caramel cheesecake Service was great, well designed bar atmosphere.. we'll be back to try the daily menu! ”

“ Finicky Franks is one of those places we wish we would’ve started going to sooner. We had heard about it for years, and once we finally went, it quickly became one of our absolute favorite spots. We now bring friends and family here all the time, and it never disappoints. The staff and owners are truly first-class—welcoming, attentive, and genuinely caring about your experience. You can tell they take a lot of pride in what they do. The food is phenomenal—always fresh and consistently top-notch—and they make some of the best lemon drop martinis in town. Every visit reminds us why we keep coming back. Can’t say enough good things about this place. If you’re looking for great food, great people, and a place you’ll want to share with others, this is it. ”

“ We loved the atmosphere, very classy decor. Great service and great food. The crab crusted walleye was killer and the prime rib was good. Food came out hot and delicious and the staff filled my water glass a dozen times. Make a reservation because the venue is small. ”

“ This place is a Omaha treasure. Tucked away in a place you’d least expect, it does everything right. The food is delicious comfort food, the service is even better, and they have somehow mastered the art of delivering ambience that is not stuffy and also manages noise. So many restaurants just can’t figure out how to keep noise levels down, which can ruin a nice evening. We love this place! ”

“ Finicky Franks is one of those hidden gems you hear about but rarely find. Their food is wonderful with traditional flavors and perfect seasoning. Our favorite is the fried chicken on Saturday nights that comes with several sides. Call ahead and reserve your table and tell them you’ll be ordering chicken . Their waitresses are classy and knowledgeable. Finicky’s vibe is a little 1940’s prohibition with the black and white flooring, black trim and a large centrally located bar with a formally dressed bar tender. There is always great music playing and the drinks are quite strong. This is a great date night spot or a place to go with your friends for a classy dinner. We’ve had sandwiches here that were the best ones we’ve ever had. ”
